PS350: COMPACT PALLET LOAD STACKER
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The PS350 compact pallet load stacker is designed for use on a conveyor driven packaging line. The patented two post design straddles the “stack zone” to provide stability and minimize space requirements. Once a pallet enters the “stack zone,” it is squared by a positive stop gate and guide rail. When the first unit load is in position, a pair of pneumatic slide arms grabs the pallet and lifts the whole load with an electric motor. A second unit load can then enter the “stack zone” and be aligned using the same method. The carriages lower the first load onto the second, the arms retract, and the perfectly aligned and stacked load can now exit the machine.
COMPACT FOOTPRINT
The PS350 was developed in response to the increasing need for robust equipment that would fit into tight spaces. This smaller version of the PS520 has all the rugged durability our customers love about the PS520, but packed into a 39% smaller footprint.
LOW CLEARANCE FOR LOW HEIGHT CONVEYOR
This model moves the drive shaft aloft to eliminate clearance requirements under the conveyor in the stack zone. The PS350 is designed to lift pallets from as low as floor level. This design feature makes this model perfect for low height conveyor or for use in pallet jack fed packaging lines.
SAFETY
Our standard safety package for this model includes perimeter fencing with electronic gate switches, safety light curtains at the infeed and exit of the fenced area, and a ratcheting emergency fall prevention mechanism. Incoming air pressures are metered and can be lowered to slow down movement generated by the pneumatic cylinders.
CONTROLS
The standard controls package for this machine includes a PLC. The PLC allows the stacker to communicate with other machines on the packaging line. The PLC can track pallet data provided by the palletizer and allow non-matching or partial pallets to pass through to keep your line running smoothly.
An HMI touch screen mounted to the control panel provides real time fault reporting and trouble shooting assistance. An operator can take the machine out of “Auto Mode” for easy manual operation when necessary.
